by Rodney Mason, GVP, Strategy & Marketing
Still in its infancy, virtual reality is not yet mainstream, but consumer products launched this year will have implications and opportunities on how the consumers experience content this year and in the near future.
Oculus Rift KickStarter Backers who pledged enough for a Rift will get a special “Kickstarter Edition” February 1st.
HTC Vive is a VR headset made in partnership with online game company Steam that includes an external camera that provides wearers a view of the real world.
Dolby Vision HDR, high dynamic range system that helps display images that are brighter and sharper than traditional TVs. Universal and MGM will be releasing movies in Dolby Vision.
Altec Lansing’s DJ Headphone with built-in live streaming 30 fps enabling DJs to broadcast and record from their event.
